You infer that I inferred that murder was ok until around 2,000 years ago; your inferences are incorrect. Christ's appearance on this earth had nothing to do with establishing morality but rather fulfilling it. Morality does not exist if God does not exist. Therefore, since God is infinite, morality is infinite. God is the source of life; therefore, murder is against His character. God is characterized by morality in which His existence establishes. Therefore, murder is immoral. Clearly, this is pure logic that does not depend on one's interpretation of Scripture. But, that does not mean Scripture does not support it.

If God is characterized by morality and righteousness, then it is not a hard thing to perceive that a human being, who was created for God's glory, who serves someone else besides God is committing sin.

And, just to refresh your knowledge of the Word of the Living God, the greatest commandment is not listed in the Ten Commandments. But it is found in Deuteronomy 6:5... To love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. May the Grace of God be with you and may you find salvation in Christ.

"God is the highest standard of morality.&quo...

"God is the highest standard of morality."

Is that why the 10 commandments - supposedly the only documents we have that were actually written by the creator - begin with four commandments about not worshiping other gods?

Where is the morality in that?

Were these really the 10 most important rules god could think of? Interesting to note that here in Quebec, many of the founding fathers were strong men of faith, including one noteable gentleman named François-Xavier de Montmorency-Laval. We know that Christianity has faded from France, like all of Europe. Your generation has a chance to stop this from happening in the US.
